Ferguson

It has been awhile since I have written anything.  That does not mean that I haven’t been observing.  On the contrary, I have been overwhelmed as many people have with an all out assault on our senses.  It is never ending.  There are two alternatives that we can choose – death or becoming like these coeds in this video http://youtu.be/yRZZpk_9k8E .  I think I would prefer the former.

We have been saturated with the happenings in Ferguson, Missouri and New York City since the Grand Juries found in favor of the police officers.  Frankly I was very surprised at their decision.  It actually gives a person a sense of hope that actual justice can be attained.  At the same time the feeling of disgust rises as the actions of our nation’s spoiled children being led by their masters carried out a perfect tribute to a thug named Michael Brown.  A small but significant number, comprised mainly of residents, proceeded to destroy and steal from the very people who serve them.  While the only true victims of the Michael Brown shooting were the shop owners and employees of that area there were other victims that were created.  Race relations and personal security are two such victims.

I prefer to not view people in a collective sense.  Groups are comprised of individuals and I try to see the individual involved and not place blame on entire groups.  Like all things in life there are exceptions and for me it is liberals/leftist/progressives, call them what you will,  I have a difficult time not lumping them all together as “useful idiots” but as for racial or ethnic groups I see people as individuals.  It gets difficult at times but I know that no matter how much the media wants to portray people of color as downtrodden, helpless, angry and anti American people that is not the case.  Within the black community they represent such a tiny minority it is laughable but I fear that what has happened to the Islamic religion is happening to the black American community.  Because of intimidation from within that community or being mocked in the media the good people are silenced.  Unlike Islam there are voices of reason coming from the black community that the media is finding more difficult to ignore.  Charles Barkley recently invited personal attacks on his character by voicing an opinion that concurred not only with common sense but also with all the statistical evidence.  Alan West and Dr. Ben Carson along with numerous ministers have all issued statements condemning the rioting, looting and destruction of property over the death of a thug.  They identify the root of this trouble within the black community which is the democratic left’s wanton destruction of the black family.  The irony of that is all the while the black community (led by toadies who profit personally) supported and still support the very people who keep them down home on the plantation.  While the growing number of people are gaining enlightenment to what has and continues to happen,  gives hope. I have to wonder if it is not too late.

The other victim, personal security, is far easier to see and correct.  It is in American DNA not to trust government.  The only arm of the government that works effectively is the military.  Our Founders had the foresight to prohibit use of our military against the citizens with the exception of insurrections and that is a very good thing.  They left our personal security to us, the individual first and then to the local authorities by way of a police force and the courts.  The right to defend ourselves and our property is a basic human right.  This right and all the others are God granted NOT government granted.  Why are communists and socialists atheist?  God and religion are immediately attacked and marginalized because they do not want our rights being “endowed by our Creator”.  If government is the grantor of rights then these rights can be taken away by government and tyranny is created.  Our Founders were aware of this and our laws and statutes were founded on this principle.  At different times in our history we ignored these principles and have paid dearly and in some cases we still are suffering from our separation from those principles.  In Ferguson when there was a breakdown in society, the law abiding residents and business owners expected and deserved police protection from the thugs but there was none given.  The presence of the police was only to contain the thugs and thieves.  They allowed the destruction of personal property to take place and after several days when the good honest people finally had enough and knew that the government was not going to protect them they started to guard their stores with weapons and some even brought in protection from groups such as the Oath Keepers to protect their livelihood.  What was the governments response?  They warned those shopkeepers and employees and the other protective services to leave.  While allowing looters to do their worst they were ready to move against those who said enough was enough and wanted to protect themselves, their neighborhood and businesses.

The true lesson from Ferguson is that the government can not protect you.  Only you can do that and to rely on the Police for protection is foolish.  This is n2384830100000578-2850383-Beauty_lost_A_beauty_supply_store_has_been_left_in_ruins_after_M-3_1417021228969[1]ot to disparage the Police but their main function is to raise revenues for the local government and then to respond to a crime after the fact.  Only in the large urban areas do they have the opportunity to stop a crime and that is because of the number of inhabitants.  Eric Garner, the New Yorker who died after NYPD action triggered a heart attack from the grossly obese Garner, was depriving the city from tax revenue by selling single, untaxed cigarettes.  This was the crime and  New York City could not have that happen.  Unlike Michael Brown what we know of Eric Garner is he was not a thug.  He was making a living by providing a product to people who were priced out by the high cigarette tax in New York.  These taxes are aimed at those who can least afford them and Mr. Garner was one of hundreds who were making it easier for people to enjoy one pleasure that they enjoyed.  The local government officials in New York ,Washington, Philadelphia and the other large cities (all democrat controlled) refuse to acknowledge the true cause of Mr. Garners death and their shills in the media  back them and continue to deflect the criticism by supporting the racist leaders of these protestors.  The deaths of Brown and Garner were not due to racism by the police.  Brown was a thug criminal who made the crucial miscalculation and assaulted an armed police officer and was killed in self defense, without a doubt a plus for the community.  Eric Garner died because he was making a living depriving New York City tax revenue.  He was doing that peacefully and was not harming anyone and only the government coffers were affected.   He did not die because he was black but rather because he was like those who dumped the tea in Boston harbor, operated the underground railroad, brewed beer and ran alcohol during prohibition.  A true American and that is the shame.

WELL SAID ALL ON ALL ACCOUNTS. THOSE COLLEGE STUDENTS SHOULD GO BACK TO GRADE SCHOOL. WHO DOESN’T KNOW WHO WON THW CIVIL WAR OR WHO WE GOT OUR INDEPENDENCE FROM? SHAMEFUL.
I BLAME THE NEWS MEDIA THAT DOESN’T PROVIDE THE REAL FACTS. ALL THEY WANT IS TO PUT FUEL ON THE FIRE. I NEVER SAW THE TRUTH THAT THE VIDEO OF BROWN BEATING THE HECK OUT OF A MAN, SHOWED, OR THE FACTS OF THE OFFICER HAVING TO PROTECT HIMSELF FROM A GIANT COMING AT HIM HIGH AS A KITE, NOT A YOUNG INNOCENT BOY AS THEY PORTRAYED. WE HAD TO GET THIS INFORMATION FROM UTUBE. I BELIEVE THIS WORLD IS GOING TO HELL IN A HAND BASKET. THIS ISIS STUFF IS REALLY SCARY. READ THE BOOK OF REVELATION. IT SOUNDS LIKE TODAYS NEWSPAPER. I ALWAYS WONDERED HOW ALL THE PEOPLE WOULD BE BEHEADED. NOW I KNOW.
THANKS PAT. WHEN IS A RANT COMING OUT AGAIN? EVEN IT’S JUST FOR ME.
