How about this for a prophecy?

America at night, with power. Imagine it dark.

I have been reading about Artificial Intelligence (AI) lately and have studied the progress made in recent times and have this thought that came to me while reading my Bible. As you all know—”timing is everything” and the timing here was impeccable. What I read about AI is that within 15 years, at the most, AI will replace the human mind as the “best computer” in the universe. AI today will always win at Jeopardy, Chess and any other challenge humans can devise for a thinking, knowledgeable brain. Look at this web site for some scarey info: http://future.wikia.com/wiki/Artificial_intelligence

Let me quote Genesis 11:1 to 9—the story about the Tower of Babel and how & why different languages were first developed.

And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime for morter. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, “Behold, the people is one, and they all have one language; and this they begin to do; and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one anothers speech”. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence; upon the face of all the earth; and they left off to build the city. Therefore, is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did confound the language of all the earth: from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Some thoughts about this incident in history:

 1) The reason for building the city & tower is so man can be god-like and have total control of  what and where they were going.

2) Shinar is a city in Babylonia, an area know for it’s worship of idols. Does this sound like the World today? Our idols, just to name a few, are sports figures, big homes, fancy autos, evolution, global warming, love of money, power, etc.

3) The language of computers is called “code” and there is but one language and just as the early people tried to do buy building a tower to reach heaven, the computer people today are trying to be as smart as God and be like God.

4) Bricks burnt thoroughly mean a strong foundation or platform, much like the “backbone or platform” of computer technology.

5) Our God is a jealous God and wants not just our time and focus but He wants us to live with Him in perfect harmony forever. He wants us to know and to love Him. Man, continually, wants to be god-like, independent of God’s thoughts, and having an intelligence greater then that of man is approaching god-like intelligence.

6) God confounded their language and speech and therefore progress on the city and tower ceased and they, in fact, were scattered across the face of the earth and the building of the tower ceased.

7) Unlike the flood in Genesis 7, 8 & 9 God did not promise not to confound man’s languages a second time. God promised man no more total floods anymore. In Genesis 9:11 God told Noah, “And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood,; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth”.

This is how this write-up came about—I read my Bible every morning and in this afternoon I fell into an article about AI and that the human mind will be surpassed in thinking ability in less that 15 years. The proverbial ‘bolt of lightning” hit me and put these thoughts together.

Here is my thinking pattern.

What can stop the development, by man, of the computer?  A major technical roadblock—not very likely considering all of the progress made so far in computer technology. A world war is more likely but will that increase the pace of development of computers? Probably, unless we have a Nuclear war and the only way this happens is if the Puppeteers in our “world order” loose control, then all bets are off. Of course, God can stop this rapid computer development, but how?

Simply by “pulling the plug”: EMP, Electromagnetic Pulse which will fry all computers in an instant and send man back to the 1800’s in the blink of an eye. There are at least two ways God can accomplish this:

Via war. Name the country that is willing to destroy the US and thus the world—North Korea, Iran, any country in the Far East, China, Russia, etc. It is a relatively simple task to send a small Nuclear device into the atmosphere over the US and destroy our entire electrical grid and make useless any device that uses a chip for control. ZAP, we are done! Retaliation by our foreign forces will assure strikes in kind and no one on earth will have a usable computer controlled device. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_pulse

Via natural means like an EMP that starts by way of a Sun Burst. It has happened before in the 1800’s and can and will happen again. This would be God intervening directly on our progress just as he did in Babylon. Or are you too busy looking up stuff on your I-Phone?

Well, That’s all folks, and I really mean “that’s all”. Enjoy the read!
